Privacy Policy

1. Overview

At MobileSentrix, we respect your privacy and the trust you place in us when you do business with us. We sell phone repair parts and tools to repair businesses, and we want you to understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

This policy explains how APT-ABILITY LLC, doing business as MobileSentrix (MobileSentrix, we, us, our), handles your personal information when you use our website at www.mobilesentrix.com and the services we provide through it. APT-ABILITY LLC is the business responsible for your personal information under this policy, and is the data controller where that term applies. This policy works alongside our Terms and Conditions. Where a separate notice applies to a specific product or program, that notice will say so.

2. What personal information means

Personal information is any information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you, such as your name, contact details, or at times your IP address or device details.

Information that cannot be tied to you, such as data we combine and de-identify, is not personal information. If we later connect it to you, we treat it as personal information.

3. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information we collect automatically when you use the site, and information we receive from other sources.

Information you provide

You provide information when you create an account, place an order, apply for an account or credit, contact support, or sign up for updates. This can include:

  • Contact and account details, such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, and account login details
  • Business details we use to confirm that you qualify as a professional wholesaler, such as your business name, address, and tax or VAT numbers
  • Tax and compliance documents, such as tax exemption certificates and signed agreements, which can include a government ID number and a signature
  • Payment details. Card and bank details go directly to our payment processor. We keep limited information such as the card type, the last four digits, the expiry date, a PayPal email, or a bank name, along with your billing address.
  • Information you send us in support requests, returns, reviews, and surveys, which can include photos and documents

Sometimes you provide information about other people, such as a contact for delivery updates. When you do, you confirm that you have their permission to share it with us for the purposes described in this policy.

Information we collect automatically

When you use the site, we automatically collect:

  • Device and connection details, such as your IP address, device type, operating system, and browser
  • The general location your IP address points to
  • Your language and time zone settings
  • How you use the site, such as the pages you view, the links you click, and the searches you run
  • The site that referred you to us, when you reach us from a link on another site

Some of this comes from recordings of your visit that capture actions like clicks and scrolling. We explain the tools we use for this in the cookies section below.

Information we receive from other sources

We also receive information from companies that help us run the site. For example, our payment processor runs fraud and device checks when you pay, and services we use to confirm the business or tax details you give us may return the results of those checks.

Sensitive information

Some of the information described above is treated as sensitive under certain laws, such as a government ID number on a tax document or your account login details. We use it only to set up and secure your account, confirm that you qualify as a professional wholesaler, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

4. How we use your information

We use your information to run the site, fill your orders, support you, keep the site secure, and meet our legal obligations. In more detail, we use it to:

  • Process and deliver your orders, including shipping, returns, and refunds
  • Set up and manage your account, and confirm that you qualify as a professional wholesaler
  • Respond to your questions and provide customer service
  • Send you service messages about your orders, deliveries, and account
  • Send you marketing messages about products and offers, as the law permits, and with your consent where the law requires it
  • Understand and improve how the site is used
  • Detect and prevent fraud, and keep the site and your account secure
  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. We send service messages about your orders for as long as you have an account or an open order.

We need certain information to open your account and fill your orders. If you do not provide it, we may not be able to do business with you.

Our legal bases in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Contract, to set up your account, process and deliver your orders, and support you
  • Legitimate interests, to confirm that you qualify as a professional wholesaler, keep the site secure, prevent fraud, and understand and improve the site, where your rights do not override those interests
  • Legal obligation, to meet our tax, accounting, and other legal requirements
  • Consent, for non-essential cookies, session recording, text messages, and marketing where the law requires it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and give you a clear way to opt out before we begin, and we will honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control as the law requires. We share your information only in the ways described here.

Service providers

We work with companies that provide services for us, such as payment processing, fraud prevention, shipping and delivery, website hosting, analytics, and customer support. They may use your information only to provide their service to us. Where you interact directly with a provider's own service, such as Google reCAPTCHA, that provider's terms and privacy policy also apply.

Professional advisers

We may share information with our lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers where they need it to advise us or to protect our rights.

Legal and safety reasons

We may share information when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith that sharing is needed to respond to a legal request, enforce our terms, prevent fraud, or protect the rights, property, or safety of MobileSentrix, our customers, or others.

Business transfers

If MobileSentrix is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be shared with the parties involved and transferred as part of that deal. We will give you notice of the change where the law requires it.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar tools to run the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Similar tools include web beacons and local storage. We use session cookies, which end when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which stay until they expire or you delete them.

The cookies and similar tools we use fall into these groups:

  • Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your cart, and protect against fraud. The site cannot work properly without them.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • Preference cookies remember choices such as your language, currency, and display settings.

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Microsoft Clarity also records sessions, which can include your clicks, scrolling, and the pages you view, so we can see how the site performs and improve it. You can read how each one handles this information in the Google Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

We also use Google reCAPTCHA to protect the site against fraud and abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.

If you visit from the UK, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or Quebec, or use our UK or EU sites, we ask before using analytics cookies, using the banner shown when you first visit. Elsewhere, we may use analytics cookies unless you turn them off. You can change your choice at any time with the Change cookie settings button below. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, which let you block or delete them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. Our site does not respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser, because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret them. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to turn analytics cookies off, unless you choose otherwise in cookie settings.

7. SMS messaging

If you give us your phone number and agree to receive text messages, we use them to send you updates about your orders and deliveries. We use your SMS consent only for these messages. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We also send one-time codes by text when you sign in or confirm your identity, so you can use your account securely.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of order and delivery texts at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting us. For help, reply HELP.

8. International data transfers

MobileSentrix is based in the United States, and we serve customers in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and Canada. Your information may be processed in any of these places, and in other countries where our service providers operate. Some of our analytics providers process data in the United States.

Some of these countries have data protection laws that differ from those where you live. When we transfer personal information from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area to a country with different laws, we use safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards we use.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights. How long we keep information depends on why we collected it. For example, we keep records of your orders and transactions to meet our legal and accounting obligations. When we decide how long to keep information, we consider how long you have an account with us, whether you have an open order, return, or dispute, the time limits for legal claims, and the tax and accounting rules that apply to transaction records. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.

10. How we protect your information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, change, or loss. We review how we collect, store, and process information, and we limit access to people who need it to do their work. Access to customer records is restricted to authorized managers on a need-to-know basis. It is approved for each use, limited in time, and allowed only from approved IP addresses. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

11. Children

The site is for professional wholesalers and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, please do not register for or use the site, and do not send us any personal information.

If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it as the law requires.

12. Your privacy rights

You have rights over your personal information. The rights available to you depend on where you live. You can contact us at any time using the details at the end of this policy. To protect your information, we may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request, and we will respond within the time the law allows. Where the law allows, you can use an authorized agent to make a request for you, and we may ask for proof of the agent's authority. If we decline your request, you can ask us to review that decision by replying to our response.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information in certain cases
  • Object to how we use your information, or ask us to limit it
  • Withdraw your consent where we rely on it, without affecting what we did before
  • Receive your information in a portable format and ask us to send it to another provider where this is possible

You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

If you are in California

You have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and share
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to delete your personal information
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate
  • Limit how we use sensitive personal information, where we use it for purposes beyond those the law permits

We will not treat you differently for using these rights. As described above, we do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes described in Section 3, which the law permits without a right to limit.

In the past 12 months, we collected these categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers, such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, IP address, and account login details
  • Customer records and commercial information, such as your business details, tax and compliance documents, limited payment details, and order history
  • Internet and network activity, such as the pages you view, the links you click, the searches you run, and session recordings
  • General location, based on your IP address
  • Sensitive personal information, such as a government ID number on a tax document and your account login details

We collect each category from the sources described in Section 3 and use it for the purposes described in Section 4. We disclose each category for business purposes to the recipients described in Section 5, and we keep it as described in Section 9. We do not sell or share any of these categories.

If you are in Canada

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. You can also withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and contractual limits. If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Our Data Protection Officer is accountable for our compliance with Canadian privacy law. Your information may be processed outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to local law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy here and change the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will give you notice, for example by email to the address on your account. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time.

14. How to contact us

If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, or you want to make a privacy request, please contact our Data Protection Officer.
